What is ozonation ?

Ozonation is an efficient and rapid method of advanced oxidation, where the hydrocarbons are either oxidized by direct reaction with ozone molecules or by indirect reaction with free hydroxyl radicals and has been used to remove persistent organic pollutants (PAHs) and PCBs.

Our plan?
Remediation anywhere!

POLYECO S.A in collaboration with the Institute of Chemical Engineering FORTH will develop a mobile pilot plant for the “on site” remediation of polluted soils and oil-drilling cuttings (muds) through the injection of ozone.

After thoroughly studying the soil ozonation process on a laboratory scale, a pilot plant will be manufactured / tested for the treatment of polluted soils, and a large-scale technical-economic feasibility study will be followed.
